CNOY is a family-friendly walk (or run!) in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Let’s band together to support those in need, and have some fun while we’re at it!
When: Saturday February 24, 2024
Where (start): Marlborough Elementary School – 6060 Marlborough Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5H 3L7
Route: 2km or 5km routes, see map HERE
Schedule:
4pm – Check-in + FTLO team photo + opening ceremony
5pm – Walk/run start + snacks & refreshments along the route
6pm – Light meal/snack provided at event closing
7pm – End of event + option to reconvene for dinner somewhere
Supporting:
Burnaby Community Services is a charitable society providing a voice, resources and opportunities to people who need support. We believe change can only happen when people are empowered to improve their lives and their community. Currently, we offer a range of programs and publications to support families with low income and seniors experiencing isolation.
Society To End Homelessness In Burnaby works to assist individuals and families who are unsheltered or at risk of homelessness. They offer support such as the opportunity to meet housing outreach workers and social services with access to government assistance and referrals, advocacy, medical attention, foot care, hygiene and toiletries, clothing, a hot shower, food pantry and nutritious hot meals.
