Rally ready teams looking for a challenge. These teams are pretty much ready to attend competitive leagues. Equal to gr. 8 to 12 & club volleyball play. Fast pace matches and harder spikes.
Restriction: No “AAA” Players & Above. No University & Post-Secondary Experience. Sorry!
Competition Ready: For adults with competitive experience ranging from high school teams (Grades 8–12) to extensive training in volleyball or similar sports. Players are comfortable with assigned positions, rotations, and fast-paced gameplay including strong serves, spikes, and blocks.
At this level: Players have assigned positions and can sustain meaningful rallies most of the time while facing some challenges with faster paced attacks; similar to a 15U-18U Tier 1 club team.
Development: Focus on refining 1–3 specific skills or systems per session through high-quality repetitions. Private coaching is recommended for those aiming to progress toward AAA/Open (post-secondary level).
1. RETURNING BOBA TEAM REGISTRATION: Registration opens July 5th @ 12:00pm:
Requirements:
– Minimum 50% of the original team roster including original team captain of the previous season to qualify.
– Allowed to have up to 3 new players that are any combinations of FTLO members and public players in the team.
– Returning teams are re-invited to the flavour they were participating in the previous season.
Examples:
(Team of 6 – 3 original players, 3 BOBA)
(Team of 6 – 3 original players, 1 FTLO Clinic, 1 BOBA, 1 Non-member)
2. FTLO MEMBERSHIP TEAM: Registration opens July 12th @ 12:00pm
Requirements:
**To be a member, you need to have completed a full season of clinic or league.**
**Each League Member will possess a Boba Pin as a proof of membership**
Requirements:
– Minimum 50% of the team has to be of FTLO Membership (Boba Member or FTLO Clinic) to qualify.
– Allowed to have up to 3 new players that are any combinations of FTLO members and public players in the team.
3. PUBLIC TEAM REGISTRATION: Registration opens July 19th @ 12:00pm
No restrictions. Any combination of FTLO members and public players in the team.
Tentative Dates: Sept 14, 21, 28; Oct 5, 19, 26; Nov 2, 9, 16, 23
Location: Burnaby Mountain Secondary School
Format: Round Robin Matches, single-elimination seeded playoffs
Time: 5:00pm to 7:00pm (2 hours)
Tournament Day: Nov 23 – Seeded Playoffs (Info Pending)
Time: 2:30pm to 7:00pm (4.5 hours)

Capacity: 12 Teams Per Flavour, 6 Players Per Team
**There are no rebalance mechanics during the season. No Brown Sugar Teams will be moved to other Boba League divisions during the 10 week season.**
**Lowest seeded teams maybe rebalanced and moved to Jasmine Flavour (BB+) at the end of the season for the next season at the league’s discretion based on their seasonal statistical performance**

Week 1 – Placement Matches
(Teams will play 5 matches with teams of different flavours. Based on the teams’ stats, the league may move teams to their appropriate flavour at their discretion.)
Week 4 and 7 – Re-Balancing the Flavours
(The league may move teams to other flavours for re-balancing purposes, based on wins/loss record stats, at the league’s discretion)
Final Week – Round Robin 4 Hour Tournament & Awards
