Rally ready teams looking for a challenge. These teams are pretty much ready to attend competitive leagues. Equal to gr. 8 to 12 & club volleyball play. Fast pace matches and harder spikes.
Restriction: No “AAA” Players & Above. No University & Post-Secondary Experience. Sorry!
Competition Ready. A level adults may have prior high school gr.8-12 competitive volleyball team experiences. They may also have sport-transferable experiences from similar competitive sports. A-level players should be playing in comp. leagues which involve faster serves, spikes, blocks. Adults may be competing at this level for many seasons.
At this level: Players have assigned positions and can sustain meaningful rallies most of the time while facing some challenges with faster paced attacks; similar to a 15U Tier 1 club team. This is the highest level to reach currently with FTLO programming.
Development: Fine tune individual and team strategies and systems. High volume quality repetitions with focus on 2 or 3 aspects and strategies.
1. RETURNING BOBA TEAM REGISTRATION: Registration opens July 5th @ 12:00pm:
Requirements:
– Minimum 50% of the original team roster including original team captain of the previous season to qualify.
– Allowed to have up to 3 new players that are any combinations of FTLO members and public players in the team.
– Returning teams are re-invited to the flavour they were participating in the previous season.
Examples:
(Team of 6 – 3 original players, 3 BOBA)
(Team of 6 – 3 original players, 1 FTLO Clinic, 1 BOBA, 1 Non-member)
2. FTLO MEMBERSHIP TEAM: Registration opens July 12th @ 12:00pm
Requirements:
**To be a member, you need to have completed a full season of clinic or league.**
**Each League Member will possess a Boba Pin as a proof of membership**
Requirements:
– Minimum 50% of the team has to be of FTLO Membership (Boba Member or FTLO Clinic) to qualify.
– Allowed to have up to 3 new players that are any combinations of FTLO members and public players in the team.
3. PUBLIC TEAM REGISTRATION: Registration opens July 19th @ 12:00pm
No restrictions. Any combination of FTLO members and public players in the team.
Dates: Sept 14, 21, 28; Oct 5, 19, 26; Nov 2, 9, 16, 23
Location: Burnaby Mountain Secondary School
Format: 12 Team Round Robin Schedule, Finale Tournament.
**Registered must be available from 3pm to 7pm for rebalance purposes**
**Teams will be moved between 3pm to 5pm block & 5pm to 7pm block during the season based on their statistical performance**
**Returning Jasmine Latte Teams are permitted to apply for Brown Sugar membership registration/waitlist at the same time.**
Regular Season Time: 5:00pm to 7:00pm (2 hours)
Tournament Day: Nov 23 – Seeded Top 6/Bottom 6 – Round Robin Tourney
Tournament Time: 2:30pm to 7:00pm (4.5 hours)
Team Registration Fee: $1085 Per Boba Team
Capacity: 12 Teams Per Flavour, 6 Players Per Team
