Hi Captains!
Thank you all for joining us at our Fall 2025 BOBA Charity Tournament! 
We’re excited to bring a full day of fun while supporting our community through our charity partner, Journey Home Community.
Location: Byrne Creek Community School, 7777 18th St, Burnaby, BC V3N 5E5
When: Sunday, December 7th and 14th
Time: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Skill (December 7th): BB+/A (Intermediate)
Charity Tournament Prize: 1st Place Team – $50 Little Pisces Gift Card per team + 1 Boba Merch per player
Fundrasier Raffle Prize: 2 x $120 Millennium Karaoke Gift Certificates
Pop-up Boba Mercha Shop: T-shirts, Tote Bags & Pins – Limited Inventory

Schedule Overview
Doors Open — 8:30am 
Captains, please check in at registration before 8:45am when your full team arrives. We will also take a team picture at that time.
There will be 2 late-start teams in each pool. All captains must report at 8:45am even if your team has a late start.
Captains meeting at 8:45am for seeding.
Pool Play — 9:00am–12:00pm
Teams will be randomly arranged into 3 pools.
Each team plays 5 seeding games within their pool and has 2 byes.
Each seeding game is 25 minutes long.
Seeding games are race to 25 (cap at 25) or until time runs out.
Winning team reports the score.
Not required, but teams on break are encouraged to help with scorekeeping for smoother gameplay.
Lunch — 12:00pm–12:45pm
Please expect a short lunch break. We recommend bringing snacks or ordering food ahead of time.
Captains meeting at 12:30pm to review tiers and get ready for playoffs.
Playoffs — 12:45pm–5:00pm
3-tier double elimination format based on seeding.
Front door games: 45 minutes.
Format: 21 (win by 2, max 25), 21 (win by 2, max 25), 11 (win by 2, max 15) OR until time expires.
Back door games: 30 minutes.
One set, race to 31 points, no deuce, or when time runs out.
Teams are eliminated after two losses; bracket winners play for first place.
At 3:30pm, all semifinal teams move to the gym with bleachers. The other gym will remain open for casual play until 4:30pm, so even if you’ve been eliminated, feel free to stay and play more volleyball!
Raffle, Awards & Clean Up — 5:00pm–5:30pm
Winners of each tier will receive BOBA exclusive merch prizes
