A Refugee Story

Definition of a Refugee:

The UNHCR define refugees as “people who have fled their countries to escape conflict, violence, or persecution and have sought safety in another country.”

Who are we supporting:

Journey Home Community is a refugee settlement agency based in Burnaby, Metrotown, that offers transitional housing, settlement assistance and relational support to refugee claimant families. Their vision is to welcome refugees into a community where they experience hope and belonging, meaningful relationships, a place to give and receive, a safe place to call home, and access to available systems and resources.
