What is Community Care?
The Community Care Department is here to help our FTLO members stay connected, supported, and included in our community. We understand that members may sometimes face financial, physical, social, or other barriers that can make participating in Boba more difficult.
Our role is to listen, understand what support you may need, and help connect you with the right resources. This may include Benevolent Fund financial assistance, community connection opportunities and support, or referrals to other resources.
You do not need to know exactly what kind of help you need before reaching out. If something is making it harder for you to participate or stay connected to the FTLO Community, let us know. We are here to help you find the right support.

Care and Benevolent Fund
The Care and Benevolent Fund provides temporary financial assistance to FTLO members experiencing financial hardship that may prevent them from participating in or staying connected to our community.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if you are a FTLO member experiencing genuine financial hardship and can provide reasonable evidence of your circumstances.
Examples of supporting information may include:
- Proof of employment loss or reduced income
- Proof of income or income assistance
- Recent bank statements
- Letter confirmation from a trusted referrer or community professional
Support is limited to Boba League registration, FTLO clinic or program fees, and other participation related costs.
**To apply for assistance, members must first speak with an FTLO staff member, who will complete the application form and submit the referral on their behalf.**
**Please note that FTLO Volleyball Association retains final authority over all Care and Benevolent Fund decisions, including whether assistance is approved, the amount provided, duration and any conditions of support.**
